County Placements Team Coordinator

Role Responsibility

A vacancy has arisen within the County Placements Team, who are responsible for managing and coordinating long and short term, residential and nursing placements for older people’s services.

You will be required to secure placements to meet need, following KCC contract purchasing protocols, negotiating and securing best value for KCC.  You will input onto client systems and initiate payments to ensure providers are paid promptly.

You will also be required to work with service users and their representatives, giving them information on process, client contribution and costs associated with the placement. You will also work closely with Care Mangers, Finance, Commissioning and Providers.

We are looking for someone with an understanding of the needs of older people, strong IT skills, and office experience.  You will also have the ability to be proactive, organise work and meet deadlines. You will also need excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

We offer full training, support and regular supervision.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
