Role Responsibility

Southfields residential service offering short breaks for people with a learning disability and/or autism from 16 years old. 

We are seeking a cook to assist in the preparation of nutritious meals including modifying meals to meet individuals needs. The role will include working with the people we support, teaching basic skills and including them in the preparation of meals and snacks.

You will be asked to ensure the efficient running of the kitchen, complying with Health and Safety requirements, checking equipment and ordering supplies.

You will be required to have a level 2 qualification in Food Safety and have or be willing to work towards a catering qualification.

In return we will offer you a comprehensive induction, supervision and additional training to enable you to fulfil your role.

The post includes working alternate weekends, and evening work.

Interviews will be conducted under the ‘Choosing with Care’ assessment process.
