Content Creator and Editor – Academic (Virtual Learning Platform)

Role Responsibility

Help shape an exciting development project, supporting Children and Young People's education and wellbeing.

Join an exciting new project team to create and edit the academic interactive online learning content for the Virtual Learning Platform (VLP) within Kent County Council, Children, Education and Young People Directorate.

The current VLP has been developed (in-house) to deliver continued access to education for Children and Young People currently without a school place; to assist with the transition to their onward education provision.

Working closely with the VLP Content Development Lead and the Software Development Team, you will lead by example, overseeing and coordinating the planning of VLP content, and use online technology to create engaging online activities, lessons, and schemes of work to build CYP confidence and engagement with learning.

You will be a creative and reflective practitioner who has an eye for detail to quality assure and evaluate the effectiveness of the academic content created by the team of Content Creators and the Education Programme Tutors and HLTAs.

KCC is looking for individuals who:

Interview are expected to held in the week commencing the 18th October 2021. They will take place remotely via MS Teams and may, according to the specific role, require candidates to undertake some competency-based tests. 

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
