Communication & Support Team Manager

Role Responsibility

Kent County Council (KCC) is looking for a KR10 Communication & Support Team Manager, to work within the Pensions & Treasury Service of KCC Finance Division. Please note that the the primary location of the role is Sessions House, Maidstone, with the possibility of office working in Maidstone and home working. The position is permanent, full time (37 hours per week).  The vacancy has arisen due to the expansion of our Pensions Administration section and the associated workload.  

This exciting role involves managing and leading a team of Communication & Support Officers and Pensions Assistants. The post holder will be responsible for pro-actively promoting and facilitating effective communications and relationships between the Kent Pension Fund, its scheme employers, members, media and other stakeholders.

The post holder will be required to have knowledge of pensions administrative software (Altair, or similar) and knowledge of Local Government Pension Schemes and Police Pension Schemes. The post holder will be required to have excellent communication skills, verbally and in writing. Furthermore, experience of performance management is required as this role involves line management of staff. For full details, please see attached job description.
