Role Responsibility

There are 2 x 12 month positions available and 1 x 24 month position available

Kent County Council are looking to recruit experienced Commissioners to join the newly formed Integrated and Adult Social Care Commissioning Teams.  

These roles play an important part in ensuring that commissioning activities undertaken by the local authority are evidence based and provide value for money via an agreed commissioning plan that meets the needs of the citizens in Kent.

You will work closely with Senior Commissioners and the recently created Procurement and Commercial team to ensure key processes are followed and service priorities met. Applicants should be experienced in successfully managing complex projects and multi-agency working and possess excellent business acumen, communication and analytical skills and the ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines.

This role is hybrid: working from home with an element of office working from Invicta House in Maidstone or other local council offices. This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position and the Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.

Interviews will be held on 6 November 2023 and may take place virtually via Microsoft Teams or in person, and according to the specific role may require candidates to undertake some competency-based tests.  Other interview formats can be made available upon request.
