Role Responsibility

Due to promotions within the Team, Strategic Commissioning have two positions within its Adults Portfolio.

Adult Social Care is seeing unprecedented market and workforce challenges.  Working alongside operational colleagues, Commissioners are tasked with creating and maintaining strong commercial and contractual relationships with internal stakeholders and the wider social care market to meet these challenges.  

You will work across the health and social care systems to help shape resilient markets to support Kents most vulnerable adults. 

The posts available are:

  1. 1 x fte Adults Commissioners – KR11 
  2. 1 x fte Locality Adults Commissioner - KR11 

Working Arrangements

Both roles can be delivered flexibly with a hybrid of working at home and in Maidstone.  Candidates are advised however, for the Locality role, you will be expected to travel and see providers within DGS (Dartford, Gravesham and Swale) on a regular basis.

The technical requirements for these roles can be found within the attached Job Specifications, however, KCC is looking for individuals who:

  • Can work autonomously, and deliver at pace
  • Are passionate about making a difference in this portfolio
  • Are creative, dynamic thinkers
  • Are competent self staters with strong relationship skills.

Interviews will take place on 22nd February 2022 and may, according to the specific role require candidates to undertake some competency-based tests.
