Client Financial Services Senior Officer

The Financial Assessment Teams conduct Financial Assessments for those clients receiving a chargeable service relating to Adult Social Care. The Financial Assessment is a means test; the outcome of the Financial Assessment will determine whether a client is required to contribute towards the cost of their care. The Team members provide expert advice and assistance with matters relating to welfare benefits and complete financial reconciliations and analyse and interpret financial data.

This is a Senior Officer role, you must be able to provide the relevant support and guidance to the team members in a range of complex matters, as well as overseeing the day to day operations of the team.

We are looking for a dynamic and reliable individual to join our busy and developing team. To thrive in this role you will be customer focused and always looking to reach a positive outcome for the people we support. You will be proactive, flexible and be able to adapt to new ways of working.

You will be pivotal in providing high quality advice and accurate information by telephone, in writing and in person. You will be working in a busy target driven Finance environment responding to constant change.

The role can be based either in Broadstairs or Maidstone, but please note that the successful post holders will be working mainly from home.

 

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
