Please Note: The application deadline for this job has now passed.

Role Responsibility

The Kent County Council Sport and Physical Activity Service ("Kent Sport") vision is to ‘change lives through sport and physical activity’, and it works with a wide range of partners to help achieve this.

Kent Sport is seeking to appoint a Project Officer to lead our Daily Mile project and support the delivery of other Children and Young People programmes, with a specific focus on those which encourage the least active to lead healthy, active lifestyles.

This post provides an exciting opportunity for someone with outstanding communication and organisational skills and who has experience of working in, or with, organisations who provide services for children and young people, and an interest in sport and physical activity.

Please note the Primary work base will be Worrall House (but travel is required throughout Kent).

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.

Interview Date: 9th February 2021
