Care Worker (Nights)
Role Responsibility
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the night care team at Broadmeadow Registered Care Centre. We are recruiting for a night care worker for around 80 hours per month, two night shifts per week. Hours of work at 2130 to 0730, days to be agreed at interview.
Broadmeadow are an adult-short stay setting providing respite, rehabilitation and assessment for up to 48 adults with a physical need or cognitive impairment such as dementia. Our large, dedicated staff team provide enabling support to help individuals return to, or maintain independence for as long as possible.
Candidates will need to demonstrate an understanding of how to support in a person-centred way whilst promoting independence at all opportunities. Full training, uniform and DBS checks will be provided, as will a comprehensive induction program and excellent staff benefits schemes.
Some of the duties include, but are not limited to:
1. Providing personal care and emotional support
2. Promoting independent living skills under the guidance of seniors, occupational therapists and social care practitioners
3. Provide clear, understandable and succinct care records, escalating any concerns immediately. Including notifying of any safeguarding concerns
4. Attend regular training events to maintain knowledge and skills, supervisions and staff meetings
5. Work in line with national guidance and local procedures and policies

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
