Social Worker Assistant

Role Responsibility

We are looking for self-motivated and committed Social Work Assistant to work in the Ramsgate Social work and Children and Young person’s services.

The focus of the work is to support the statutory role of the social worker. This includes supervision of contact, direct work with vulnerable children, young people and their families or carers and assisting social workers in any other identified tasks.

Across the services we work with Children in Care, Children in Need and Child Protection. You should have good communication and IT skills, the ability to observe and record information effectively and an understanding of the needs of children, young people and their families. You will receive a high level of good quality supervision and work alongside other team members.

This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification
