Business Support Officer

Role Responsibility

An opportunity has arisen for a business support officer to provide senior, high level administrative support.  This is an interesting and varied role working across multiagency partners,  the successful postholder will provide support to the wider management team in Adult social care but with a primary focus on supporting the Kent and Medway Prevent team and Serious Organised Crime function.  This is a fixed term contract until the end of March 2024.

You will be responsible for providing full confidential administration support in a timely and efficient manner to support the team to deliver its core functions. You will work as part of a small team and be highly organised in managing your workload and supporting others to meet deadlines.

We require someone with excellent communication skills, you will be confident in dealing with a variety of multi-disciplinary professionals and have good IT skills using a variety of platforms.  The successful candidate must have an eye for detail and hold a high standard of minute taking which is essential for this role. This role requires someone who can manage sensitive information and hold a strong knowledge of confidentiality and data protection procedures.

We will provide you with regular supervision and support from the wider team, as well as a great offer of training to develop yourself within this role.

We offer a hybrid approach to working which is a mix of home working and using KCC offices. The successful postholder must be able to travel and work from our office in Maidstone when required.

This post is subject to a Basic Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
