Public Health Business Support Administrator

Role Responsibility

We are seeking to appoint a Public Health Business Support Administration Officer to join our Public Health Business Support Team. This role will provide essential administrative support to a team of public health professionals.

This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to Kent’s Public Health department, supporting a broad range of administrative activities and working closely with key stakeholders to ensure the effective coordination of meetings and partnership groups.

Applicants should have experience of undertaking a range of administrative duties, including minute taking and organising large meetings. A professional approach, strong work ethic and excellent organisational skills are essential.

Kent is a large county with a wide range of complex public health priorities. Applicants will need to demonstrate the ability to manage competing demands and objectives, alongside sound judgement, diplomacy and political awareness.

This is a hybrid role, with standard working hours from 09:00 to 17:00. The postholder will be required to attend our Maidstone base regularly, with occasional travel across Kent to support external events.

This post is considered by KCC to be customer-facing. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English or Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the role. The required standards are set out in the Job Description and Person Specification.

This post is subject to a Basic Disclosure application to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
