Business Support Officer
Role Responsibility
An exciting position has become available within the Business Support team in the Assistant Director’s office.

We have an opportunity for an experienced Business Support Officer who has an ability to work as part of team, prioritise their workload and use their own initiative whilst responding to high volumes of work and deadlines and to maintain and process accurate and timely records.
The role will encompass robust diary management, forward planning of meetings, the management of all associated administration, and implementation of efficient processes and procedures to improve the level of service provided to the Assistant Director and other stakeholders.
You will need to have excellent IT, organisational and communication skills and be able to support and administer all arrangements for Area panels and other specified processes required for the smooth running of the business support for the Area. You will need an excellent eye for detail as the role also requires robust collation and data interrogation. You will liaise with staff and senior managers within the area, across the County as well as with the Assistant Director and the Business Support team.
The role will be based at Joynes House, Gravesend accompanied with virtual home working.
This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
