Role Responsibility

This is an excellent and exciting opportunity for a full time role within the Childrens Social Work Team, at Kent County Council.  We are looking for a Business Support Officer within Integrated Childrens Services. The post is full time, working in the office 2 days a week and 3 days from home (after an initial training period of full time in the office for 1 month).  All equipment is provided.

If you would like to be part of a busy team helping to support the children and families of Kent and can efficiently handle pressure and manage multiple conflicting priorities within a small and friendly team then this could be the position for you. This role is based at Montague House, Tunbridge Wells.

Business Support Officers play a vital role in supporting the front line teams of practitioners within the children’s social work services. This involves minute taking, updating computer systems, recording and sharing important information with the team, maintaining accurate records, and prioritising collaboration with immediate and wider teams. Additionally, you may communicate daily with professionals, service users and their families through phone or email.

Working within a confidential environment you will have strong administrative and IT skills and the ability to collate and manage data.  You will need to have the confidence and ability to deal with a variety of multi-agency professionals on a range of matters and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.  You should enjoy working as part of an effective team but also work independently to a high standard whilst working remotely

  • A starting salary of £24,040 with annual performance related pay increases
