Business Support Officer - Folkestone and Hythe

Role Responsibility

We are looking for someone to join our busy Business Support team within Integrated Children’s Services. We are based at Cheriton House in Folkestone and support Social Workers working with children and their families in the local Folkestone & Hythe area.

As a Business Support Officer, you will support senior managers and social workers on a range of tasks and work alongside colleagues to assist in the smooth running of the service in the district. This is a varied and challenging post and requires someone with excellent organisation and communication skills and previous administrative experience. You will be responsible for providing full confidential administrative support, being the first point of contact for families and professionals and recording accurate information on cases. You will also support a range of meetings, organising, and taking accurate minutes. You should be able to proactively manage your workload whilst responding to urgent requests and deadlines and be able to work flexibly alongside team members.

The post is offered as a full-time position and in return, you will be given regular supervision, support, and training to develop within the role.

This post is subject to a Basic Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
