Business Support Lead

Role Responsibility

If so, we have an exciting opportunity to join the Swale Open Access Team as the Business Support Lead within Integrated Children’s Services. The role is based at Milton Court Children’s Centre. However, the ability to travel across the Sittingbourne and Sheppey area in a timely and flexible manner at various times of the day is essential. This role will also incorporate some homeworking.

The role requires excellent organisational and communication skills. As Business Support Lead you will supervise a team of Open Access Business Support staff, ensuring processes and systems are effective, up to date and accurate.  You must be able to proactively manage your workload and the workload of your team whilst responding to urgent requests and deadlines. You will have strong administrative, minuting and IT skills and the ability to collate and manage data.

You will need to demonstrate a confident manner liaising with the public, professionals, and outside organisations as a point of contact for the service.  You will be responsible for coordinating team movements and monitoring team performance. The work is interesting, varied and demanding.  We need someone with a calm and organised approach who can make a positive contribution to the success of the team. We are looking for someone who is flexible with a can-do attitude.

This role requires you to be mobile throughout a wide operational area in a timely and flexible manner at various times of the day. You should note that public transport is rarely a viable option as your role will involve you visiting venues in rural areas, often with limited public transport.
