Business Support Coordinator

At Kent County Council, we believe in fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence. We are searching for Business Support Coordinators who will play a pivotal role in helping our organisation operate efficiently and effectively.
You will be joining the newly formed Adult Social Care and Health Business Support Division, which has around 300 business support professionals that deliver support to our frontline services empowering our residents to live their lives the way they want to.
We believe the importance of supporting people to be involved in everyday activities, make choices and feel part of their communities, or not, as anyone has the right to do, in a way that suits them.
The contractual base will be discussed at interview, but there is a choice of:
- Kroner House, Ashford
- Thistley Hill. Dover
- Worrall House, King's Hill
Full time and part time positions will be considered.
What you’ll be doing
You will:
- Advocate for our clients and champion adult social care and health, acting as a point of contact; assessing and resolving telephone queries, mailbox monitoring and production and distribution of correspondence and documentation.
- Coordinate the recruitment process for new staff and support staff inductions.
- Coordinate a range of meetings, including production of agendas, taking and producing minutes.
- Maintain financial processes, including auditing timesheets and mileage, investigating queries and ensuring financial records are accurate.
- Data entry into a range of systems and trackers, resolution of queries and input into development of monitoring processes, processing and recording annual leave, sickness data, creating care plans, care coordination and allocation of care calls to field staff.

What you’ll bring
- Proven experience in business support, administration, or a similar role.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.
- Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and other office software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive attitude and a passion for problem-solving.
- A positive, can-do mindset with a commitment to delivering high quality work.
