Role Responsibility

The North Kent Family Time Service has a 6 month (fixed term), part time, vacancy for a Business Support Assistant. The Family Time Service works in partnership with the Children in Care Service to provide Family Time Sessions for children and their families.

The role is to provide administrative support and front desk reception duties for 12 hours per week, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 1 – 5 p.m.

You will need to demonstrate excellent organisation and communication skills. You must be able to proactively manage your workload and support the wider team, whilst responding to urgent requests and deadlines. You will often be the first point of contact for our service and need to be confident in liaising with families, colleagues, and professionals within a multi-agency environment.

We are looking for someone with administrative experience and who is confident dealing with a variety of responsibilities and using a range of IT packages. You will be responsible for handling sensitive information, checking and recording data, as well as liaising with the Family Time Co-Ordinator to arrange a variety of sessions.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
