Business Management Officer

Role Responsibility

Fixed Term for 6 Months

We are looking to recruit two suitably experienced and highly motivated individuals to join our small Business Support team as a KR9 Business Management Officer, supporting the Corporate Director Finance and the wider leadership team in a varied and demanding role. These opportunities have arisen due to recent changes within the team. The posts are fixed term for 6 months, full and part time will be considered.

Your main responsibilities will include leading on projects, leading the co-ordination and administration of meetings, taking minutes and following-up on agreed actions. You will also be expected to lead and deliver the division’s internal communications, and co-ordinate and report on Freedom of Information Act requests relating to the division.  You will need to be highly organised with excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to communicate effectively with different audiences, including senior managers.

Please note that the primary location of the role is Maidstone, Kent, with the possibility of both office and remote working. Applications from both internal and external candidates are welcomed. For internal applicants the post would be offered on a secondment basis.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
