Role Responsibility

Adult Social Care (ASC) Benefits Realisation Officer (KR10) Opportunity

The challenge

Social care and health services across Kent face several significant challenges in the years ahead, as the population is living longer and with more complex needs; increasing demand on the health and care sector. We are committed to maintaining and improving high quality services, despite funding challenges faced by all public sector organisations. To help us achieve our ambitions, we have a dedicated Innovation Delivery Team to drive and deliver successful change within the organisation.

The opportunity

We are offering an exciting opportunity within Adult Social Care (ASC) for a new Benefits Realisation Officer role in the Innovation Delivery Team. You will support projects across our Portfolio and be responsible for identifying, baselining, profiling, planning, tracking, and reporting on benefits. As a brand new role, you will develop and manage the processes and management of systems needed to support and govern effective benefits realisation, and in turn help to ensure ASC meet its strategic objectives and achieves all financial, quantitative, and qualitative benefit targets.

We are looking for a motivated individual who can make an impact from day one and can work with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation, to embed the concepts and principles of benefits management and realisation. You will need to support projects to establish KPI’s and be creative in setting up effective ways of measuring outcomes and benefits; both during the project and post-completion.  You will work closely with operational staff to ensure the change is embedded within the teams and the benefits are being realised for staff and the people we support.

You will need to pro-actively monitor and update a variety of project management documents, provide coaching, training, and advice to project staff, and lead on a variety of ad-hoc change activity requests. This is a very varied role, so flexibility is key.

The Person

Resilience, adaptability, confidence, creativity, and an enthusiasm to make things happen are essential skills for the role. You will act on your own initiative to help support the projects with establishing and measuring benefits; overcoming obstacles along the way. Previous experience of working in a finance and / or project environment working with benefits is required.

Please Note: Although the team is usually based out of Invicta House in Maidstone, due to COVID-19 the team is currently working remotely from home; though the role may involve travelling around areas of Kent in the future.

This post is subject to a Basic Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service.

Shortlisting Period: Tuesday 25 May

Interviews will take place between: 1st and 2nd June 2021
