Ashford Gateway Plus & Tenterden Co-ordinator

Role Responsibility

Gateway is a face-to-face service that works in partnership with a range of public and voluntary services housed under one roof. Gateway offers a unique mix of partner services, specific to the location and customer need in the locality.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work in the Gateway team as the Ashford Gateway Plus & Tenterden Gateway Co-ordinator. The 37 hours per week are worked across Monday – Friday at both Ashford Gateway Plus and Tenterden Gateway.

This is a customer services role and day to day, you will manage the buildings and meet & greet.  Supporting the team to help our customers resolve enquiries, dealing with building operational issues as well as working on development projects.

You will be responsible for developing the partner network and encouraging partners and stakeholders to work with us to offer our customers a holistic experience that responds to local needs.

We are looking for someone who has excellent people management, interpersonal skills and someone who Is organised, confident and resilient in dealing with situations when they arise.

Annual performance related pay increases and option to enrol in the Local Government Pension scheme with employer matched contributions.

29 days paid annual leave per year (rising to 30 after 5 years service) plus bank holidays and one concessionary day.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
