Administration Officer - West Kent Disabled Children’s Teams

Role Responsibility

An opportunity has arisen for a motivated and committed Administration Officer to join the West Kent Disabled Children’s Teams.  Full and part time posts are available and the position will be based at either Worrall House, West Malling or Montague House, Tunbridge Wells. You will provide comprehensive support to a Social Work team and Team Manager.  The team supports disabled children aged from 0 to 17 years of age.  

You will need to be highly organised, be able to prioritise your work and be flexible to meet the needs of the team.  Good administrative skills, a good knowledge of computer systems and the ability to take high quality minutes during meetings are essential.  The role requires good teamwork as well as the ability to work independently to meet the needs of the service.  Training and formal supervision will be provided. 

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
