Administration Officer - Treetops Shortbreaks Unit

Role Responsibility

Treetops offers overnight short breaks for children with disabilities from the age of 5 to 18 years old. The children we support have a wide variety of additional needs including complex health, behaviours that challenge, Autism and Learning Disabilities.

We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, be able to work as part of a busy team providing a high standard of administration support in a fast-paced environment, with good IT and office skills and have the ability to organise work and work to deadlines.

 

To succeed in this role, we are looking for someone who has:

- Excellent organisational skills, ability to prioritise workloads and work well under pressure.

- Brilliant interpersonal skills and experience of working as the first point of contact in a busy short break unit.

- Knowledge and understanding of a wide range of administration tasks.

- Some knowledge and understanding of finance tasks.

- Knowledge and understanding of Word, Excel and Outlook

- Willingness to learn and put in to practice.

- Proactive approach to their own development

This post is based in a children’s unit and therefore is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure application to the Disclosure and Barring Service.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.

 

Interviews will be conducted under the ‘Choosing with Care’ assessment process which will take place over two days – candidates need to attend both days.
