Adaptation Support Officer
Role Responsibility
An opportunity has arisen for the role of Adaptation Support Officer to work within the Climate Change Team, where we are seeking a curious, motivated individual who is keen to provide first-level specialist advice and coordination support on climate change adaptation.
The role will involve assisting and supporting the Climate Change team in the delivery of KCC’s internal adaptation plan and associated work streams, through providing topical advice and guidance on climate change and adaptation, oversight and coordination of partnership development and activities, maintaining records required by grant programmes, monitoring outputs and results from the projects, drafting reports, and assisting with preparation of materials for presentations and workshops.
The role will require excellent communication skills and an ability to establish relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including other teams across KCC, external partner agencies and organisations, and senior officers, as well as a capacity to synthesise key information from national reports and academic publications to inform project decision making.
This full-time role will follow a hybrid working pattern with a mix of working from the office and from home. The office base will be Invicta House, Maidstone.
