Westbrook Integrated Care Centre provides short term placements, assisting people to regain their independence and meet their aims and objectives.  We offer short term support to those living with dementia in our specialist dementia care unit. We also work closely with Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Social Services Registered Practitioners to support those requiring rehabilitation or further care assessments to return to the community. 

We are looking for an Activities Coordinator to join our team and help us to improve and promote the health, well-being and outcomes for the people in our care.

By promoting independence and providing meaningful activities, you’ll be making a real difference to people’s everyday lives.

You will have a rolling 4-week static rota pattern which will include some weekend working. Hours will be 35 hours a week. 09.30 – 16.30 with some flexibility. Included in this role the successful candidate will be required to complete reviews and feedback audits for the service, Facilitate meetings with the people we are supporting. This is a new role that you will be supporting the service to develop.

We can offer you a comprehensive induction package.  This will include mandatory training as well as access to multiple personal development courses. You will either already hold or be willing to complete a Diploma/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in health and social care. We can also offer this programme to the right candidate if not held upon commencing employment.

The starting salary for this post is £24,040 based on full time hours of 37 per week.  There is an additional enhancement of 1/3rd for hours worked at the weekend and double time for Bank Holidays. 

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
