Accounts Administration Officer

Role Responsibility

We are recruiting for a KR6 Accounts Administration Officer to work within Kent County Council, Exchequer Services Finance division. The primary location of the role is in the heart of Maidstone, Invicta House, with the possibility of hybrid working. The position is full time (37 hours per week).

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Administration Officer within Exchequer Services. We are looking for someone to be primarily based in our Control Team, who are responsible for maintaining system supplier and customer data, processing payment runs, administration of purchase cards, processing of CIS returns and ensuring all processes follow financial regulations.  

This finance post is extremely varied and very system orientated so you will be expected to have some proven experience in finance, a variety of systems and Microsoft Office packages. The successful candidate must also be able to work with a high level of accuracy, be able to interrogate data, have good communication skills, think innovatively, and meet tight deadlines.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
