Account Administration Officer

Role Responsibility

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Account Administration Officer within Exchequer Services.

The financial role of our Accounts Administration Officer is varied, with the most important aspect of the role to ensure that a high-quality service is provided to both internal and external customers. The post will require you to work in both the Accounts Payable and Children’s Payment Team, so the ability to manage financial data and complete financial reconciliations is required.

We are looking for someone who is financially astute with the ability to manage their workload effectively, dealing with multiple workstreams and priorities, possess excellent IT skills, along with excellent customer service aptitudes. You will need the ability to communicate with a range of people over the telephone and via our customer portal whilst working to strict deadlines.

The role involves administering and managing:

  • Foster carers payments and mileage claims
  • Kent Card payments
  • Childrens Direct Payments
  • Day Care Payments
  • Reclaims and overpayments
  • Support with Means Tests
  • Processing invoices and payment requests
  • Dealing with queries via email & Telephone

 

The successful applicant should have proven excellent organisational and communication skills, attention to detail, confidence, and proficiency in Microsoft applications. As a service we use Liberi, Controcc, Oracle, LPS and customer-based portal and full training will be provided.

The position is permanent and full time (37 hours per week). The primary location of the role is Invicta House, Maidstone although we currently hybrid work with a mix of home and office.
