Youth Travel Ambassador School Liaison Officer

Role Responsibility

An opportunity has arisen for a School Liaison Officer in the Safer Road User Behavioral Change Team.  Youth Travel Ambassador Programme (YTA) is a peer led programme that engages students aged 11 to 18.  The pupils implement initiatives in their school community which promotes road safety, active and independent travel.  The work contributes to reducing casualties involving young people on Kent’s roads.   The programme also challenges key life-skills, such as: project management, research & analysis and implementing an evaluation process.  A highlight of the programme is that schools submit a proposal to seek funding to make their initiatives become reality. 

The YTA School liaison officer will be the facilitator for the project and the primary point of contact for school liaison and delivery, please see the job description attached for further information.

This is a great opportunity for a motivated individual to join the team.  You will be trained and supported by the team to enable you to excel. This is a hybrid position and you will be supported to work flexibly. This is a 2 year fixed term contract.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
