Youth Justice Practitioner
Role Responsibility
The North Kent Youth Justice Team have a vacancy for a permanent full time Youth Justice Practitioner.
The position is an Area based role covering the districts of Gravesham and Dartford, working with young people aged 10 – 18 years who have come into contact with the criminal justice system.
The Service has close integration between the teams that focus on adolescents (Youth Justice Team, Adolescent Social Work Teams and Adolescent Early Help units). There are opportunities for co-working and we have good relationships with key agencies including our partners within Housing, Education, Health and the Police to ensure our young people get the right level of service at the time they need it.
This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
