Young Persons' Participation Officer - The Education People

Role Responsibility

We are seeking a Young People’s Participation Officer on a 12-month fixed term contract. The successful candidate will assist with the statutory duty to track young people to identify their education or learning status. You will contact them by telephone, letter and email recording the outcome of the contact on our database. You will have an excellent telephone manner and be able to meet targets on the number of young people you contact.

You will help maintain and develop relationships with schools and colleges to ensure the continuation of good working practices and sharing of data. 

You must have excellent communication skills, be organised, able to work to deadlines, be accurate in your work, work well in a team, have good IT skills and be able to empathise with young people.

The successful applicant will mainly be working from home, but some travel for meetings will be required.

The working hours of this post are 10am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.  There is however, the opportunity to work flexibly, including early evenings and Saturday mornings. 

This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
