Workforce Development Programme Officer

Role Responsibility

Maternity Cover - up to 12 months

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Strategic Workforce Development team to  over the full time Programme Officer role

Working alongside the Workforce Development Strategy officer the successful candidate will manage and deliver complex programmes working across the HR/OD function, Directorates and external partners. Areas of particular focus will be Apprenticeships, Young People Work placements programme, the Kent Social Care Academy and supporting wider Kent Workforce Development to deliver Kent economic recovery.  

You will have experience of working in HR/OD/WD at strategic level which will allow you to bring context to this challenging programme management role. You will be able to evidence a track record of undertaking detailed analysis to define the requirements to develop, manage and deliver comprehensive programme plans that incorporate effective evaluation criteria.

You will be a strong communicator, able to quickly develop highly effective relationships with stakeholders, senior colleagues and external partners to ensure that strategic deliverables are identified and delivered.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
