Role Responsibility

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Kent County Council, Country Parks team who provide leisure, education, events, venue hire and café services across 9 Country Parks in Kent.

The Shorne Woods Country Park Visitor Services Assistant, casual role is to provide a high quality front-line service within the Visitor Centre shop and reception.

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer service focused individual, with a passion for dealing with customers face to face. It is essential that you have customer service experience ideally within a leisure or retail setting.

You will work closely with the Visitor Services, Ranger and Café team to ensure that customers receive a joined up friendly, warm and welcoming experience, when visiting the park.

You will report to the Visitor Services & Events Manager for Kent Country Parks.

This is a casual position working at peak times during the year namely Easter, Spring and Summer School breaks together with the Christmas School break. You may be asked to work 11am to 3pm across the 7 days of the week, although this will vary depending upon the Event activity within the park. .

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
