Virtual School Kent - Education Support Officer (Key stage 1 to 4)
Role Responsibility
Term Time Only - 39 weeks per year - 29.6 hours per week (Fixed Term Until 1st April 2025)

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Education Support Officer to join our friendly, dynamic and supportive team at the Virtual School Kent, part of one of the largest councils in the country. We are looking for somebody to work with schools, stakeholders and young people mainly in the West Kent area.
You will manage a caseload of Children and Young People in Care and ensure that they all have high quality, up to date and regularly reviewed Personal Education Plans (PEPs).
To achieve this you will collaborate with schools and partners across multi-agency teams to ensure best outcomes for children and young people.
You will need to be self-motivated, highly organised with the ability to prioritise work and be flexible in order to meet the needs of the team. Excellent knowledge of the education system and a commitment to inclusion are essential to the role. Experience and/or an interest in supporting KS4 students with progression planning is preferable for this role.

Your working week will be varied, with home-based and office-working, as well as in different educational settings. Therefore the ability to travel across the area in a timely and flexible manner is essential.
