Vape Compliance Officer

Role Responsibility

Full Time Fixed Term - 1 year

Kent Trading Standards are offering an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual as part of a small team focused on decreasing access of vape products to those under the legal age limit.  

The Vape compliance officer will be expected to co-ordinate the operational activities with oversight from the Principal Trading Standards Officer for Consumer Safety and where appropriate take the lead in more complex scenarios and develop further activities to drive compliance. Enforcement or regulatory experience would assist the candidate, and you will be well organised and a good communicator to influence the behaviour of e-cigarettes retailers as well as liaising with partner agencies. You will also need to possess IT skills to collate data from visits and provide summary reports at regular intervals. 

Our office is based in Ashford with capability for you to work from home where appropriate. You will be expected to work across Kent regularly to carry out visits.
