Role Responsibility

Bexley Register Officer are looking for a ceremonies usher that will provide an excellent level of customer service dealing with ceremony guests and visitors to Danson House face to face. You should be able to communicate effectively with customers, colleagues and service providers and have excellent organisational skills. You should be able to demonstrate a ‘can-do’ attitude, be flexible, positive and a team player.

Principle duties would include: act as the main point of contact for guests arriving and direct them to the appropriate ceremony, advise guests on the car parking, assist the entrance of the bridal party and supervise parking in the designated area, ensure all ceremony rooms and grounds are clean, set up and ready, assist the celebratory officers with the stage management of the ceremonies.

This post will be will be based in Danson House Bexley. Availability is required across the week which will include weekends. There are no set hours and work is allocated on an ad hoc basis.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
