Tutor – Education Programme

Role Responsibility

Fair Access are recruiting 1 full time  (37 hours a week, Term Time Only) tutor, to provide one to one tuition as part of an Education Programme in a variety of localities throughout Kent.

The Children & Young People accessing the programme require one to one support in preparation for accessing identified education provision.

You will work both independently and as part of a team to assess, plan, implement and evaluate appropriate learning programmes within a framework agreed and under the overall direction and supervision of the Education Programme Co-ordinator. 

You will be able to evidence relevant experience in working with vulnerable learners, excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to manage challenging situations, and the ability to communicate clearly and successfully.

Whilst you will be based in Sessions House in Maidstone, you will be required to provide tuition in a variety of locations across the whole of Kent.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
