Tree Officer

Role Responsibility

An exciting career opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced individual to play a key role within the Highways, Transportation & Waste Section’s Soft Landscape Team. This role is fundamental in providing the support to maintain and audit Kent’s 500,000 trees and will allow the post holder to influence and shape the future of the treescape within Kent through our street tree planting.

The role of Tree Officer will cover all aspects of highway related tree management including contract management, monitoring and specifying works to address highway safety issues and programmed maintenance. You will have a strong background in arboriculture and experience of applying this in practical situations.

You will need to demonstrate good computer literacy skills and a good understanding of data capture hardware in the field. Initial training will be provided to the successful applicant on all of our process’ as well as ongoing training in tree related subjects throughout the year.
