Travel Trainer - The Education People

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work with the Specialist Employment Service as a Travel Trainer in the Royal Borough of Greenwich

This role will focus on delivering Travel Training to SEND students - Successfully travel training students to travel to and from school/college independently using public transport across the Royal Borough of Greenwich. To do this, candidates will work remotely, working full time 37 hours per week, term time only across split shifts - early mornings *7.30am – 9am before school/college and after school/college 3pm – 5pm* and allowing for journey planning and administration time within the day - e.g., travel assessments, database entries.  *Times are subject to change due to student need.

Full staff training and a comprehensive induction programme will be provided, please note training may take place in Gravesend and other Kent locations.

The role demands excellent communication skills and an ability to empower and motivate students while supporting them to travel independently using public transport and walking.  You will be able to work off your own initiative, as well as being able to work well in a team.

You will be part of The Specialist Employment Service, who is a supported employment service committed to supporting and enabling individuals with disabilities and disadvantages to successfully enter and sustain paid employment, apprenticeships, and internships.

We are looking for self-motivated individuals who have a genuine interest in supporting people with disabilities and disadvantages.
