Transport Eligibility Assistant

Role Responsibility

The Fair Access Team is responsible for assessing applications for free school transport for both mainstream and SEND children across Kent. We are seeking a Transport Eligibility Assistant to join our busy and supportive team, helping to ensure that children and families receive timely and accurate decisions.

We are looking for someone with strong IT skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering high‑quality customer service. You will be confident working with detailed information, able to maintain accuracy, and understand the importance of confidentiality in all aspects of your work.

You will have experience supporting customers through complex processes and be able to demonstrate a calm, professional approach when working under pressure. The ability to prioritise your workload and consistently meet deadlines is essential.

A positive, ‘can‑do’ attitude is key. You will be motivated, organised, and ready to contribute to a team that is focused on delivering an efficient, customer‑centred service.
