Trading Standards Officer- Food Standards Qualified

A vacancy has arisen for an experienced, motivated, dynamic and qualified (DTS, DCA, DCATS or TSPD) Officer to join the Compliance Food Chain team. 

About the role

We are offering an exciting opportunity to recruit a self-motivated, fully Food qualified Trading Standards Officer to join the Compliance Food Chain Team.

You will be responding to complaints, conducting food visits to a variety of premises, auditing, sampling, advising and any necessary follow up work. Providing detailed, accurate records of the visits and outcomes.

You will be required to follow all statutory and professional policies, procedures, and work practices to ensure all activity is provided in a professional, effective, and efficient manner to all service users.

We are looking for an experienced Trading Standards Officer with excellent communication and IT skills, holding the DCATS, DCA, DTS (or equivalent) qualification, which must include the food paper, who can travel across the county as needed, carry out high quality food inspections, interpreting legislation, and conducting follow up action.
