Technology for Independent Living Facilitator
Role Responsibility
EMPOWERCARE is an Interreg (European) funded project that looks to create resilient communities and empower people to take more responsibility for their care using technology and local services to keep them in work, healthy and motivated. The project benefits from a cross-border approach working with 13 partners across 4 countries to review relevant person-centred methodologies and consider their use in EMPOWERCARE and the wider social care system.
We are looking for a Technology for Independent Living Facilitator to join our newly formed Practice Model Development Team in Adult Social Care and Health where we will be building and testing new approaches to ensure that the person is always at the centre of our decisions. The role will facilitate the consideration of assistive and communicative technologies in the support of older people in our community, developing our understanding of the market offer for technology and managing the exploration of these technologies with Practitioners and the people we support.
The post holder will be a passionate individual who strives to make a difference to the lives of individuals and has the communication skills to influence stakeholders to consider new ways of working. They will always strive to be forward-thinking and enjoy considering ways to improve the support we offer.
There are two full-time, fixed-term positions available, each as a one-year contract.
This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
