Technical Support Officer

Role Responsibility

An opportunity has arisen for the role of Technical Support Officer to work within the Traffic Management Team. We are looking for a motivated individual who is keen to demonstrate their experience of working in a customer-orientated environment.

The role will act as the first point of contact within the team for customers and stakeholders, ensuring a high quality of service is provided. The role will assist and support the Traffic Management Team in the delivery of the key functions of the team, undertaking daily administrative duties including financial management support.  

The role will also require excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to deal with a variety of internal and external customers and stakeholders, including other highway teams, consultants and Councillors. 

This full-time role will be able to utilise hybrid working with a mix of working from the office and from home. The office base will be either Kroner House or Aylesford Highway Depot.  

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
