Technical Support Officer - Road and Footway Asset Team

Role Responsibility

An opportunity has arisen to join the Road and Footway Asset Team as a Technical Support Officer.

This key post plays a critical role in assisting the team in the successful delivery of over 350 road and footway asset renewal and preservation schemes each year.

The successful candidate will provide professional administration support to the team and collecting and collating scheme information to facilitate successful construction. A key aspect of the role is supporting our delivery of excellent customer service, by liaising with stakeholders and monitoring enquiries, complaints and compliments to facilitate their successful resolution.

A good standard of education coupled with good IT skills are essential and you should have a sound knowledge of all Microsoft office applications, with a high level of computer literacy.

It is equally important that you have excellent organisation, people, communication and customer service skills, together with a ‘can do’ approach. This is an excellent opportunity for self-motivated individuals looking to develop their experience and build a career in Highways Asset Management.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
