Technical Support Assistant

Role Responsibility

This is an exciting opportunity to join Public Protection’s Business Development Team serving a diverse group of high in-demand and well-respected services. These services consist of: Trading Standards, Coroners, Intelligence, Kent Scientific Services and Community Safety.

The role provides day-to-day technical support to users across Public Protection’s business systems and applications. Your main tasks will involve troubleshooting problems and carrying out regular admin duties. You will also contribute to the planning, developing and implementation of system updates and functional improvements.

You will have confidence and experience working closely with system users and be expected to liaise with third party software providers and our internal IT department as necessary to ensure that system issues are logged, processed, and resolved efficiently and effectively.

As part of the Systems and Data Team, you will be using your creativity and technical experience in a number of wider reaching projects across our services to improve workflow processes and support greater use of our Microsoft 365 and Power Platform applications.

This full-time role is offered as flexible/hybrid working with a mix of working from the office and from home. The office base will be at Invicta House, Maidstone. The post holder will be expected to travel to our Service offices across Kent on a regular basis.
