Team Manager
Role Responsibility
This exciting opportunity is for a Team Manager Post in the Kent Approved Mental Health Professional Service. You will be working in a county wide service alongside another Team Manager.
Reporting to the service manager, team managers within the AMHP service hold accountability for the efficient working and performance of the team, ensuring adherence to legislation and the policies and procedures of the council.
Our team managers utilise agreed monitoring and review methods such as dashboards, wider divisional performance reports, staff supervision and workforce reports to develop the team’s knowledge base and expertise. This ensures that services are delivered and meet the standards required whilst promoting closer integrated working with partnership agencies and local care systems.
You will:
- Ensure that all AMHPs are performing to a high standard.
- Devise systems that support the service and AMHPs to deliver quality
- Support and manage staff through supervision and debriefing
- Lead on recruitment and retention of AMHPs.
- Ensure that the service is delivered in a cost-effective manner
- Offer expert advice to all stakeholders in relation to statuary activity
- Ensure that statutory work has a high profile both within KCC and KMPT
- Work in conjunction with stakeholders
- Have a substantial working knowledge of all relevant Mental Health Act and Social Care legislation and Codes of Practice.
- Registration as a social worker with Social Work England

This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure application to the Disclosure and Barring service and registration as a qualified Social Worker with Social Work England.
