Role Responsibility

An opportunity has arisen to recruit a Team Manager for the South Kent Coast & Thanet 26+ Community Learning Disability A Team. 

The Lifespan Pathway Community Learning Disability Teams (CLDTs) work together to provide an efficient and high performing service to adults aged 26+ with a learning disability in Kent.

You will establish and oversee a Client Support Service, which will monitor, review and undertake non-urgent complex casework for the majority of cases within the CLDT. You will be directly responsible for identifying cases that require allocation for short term intensive social work intervention before being handed back to the Client Support Service. Alongside the team Safeguarding Coordinator you will be responsible for triaging all new safeguarding concerns and be responsible for managing accurate data collection and escalating any issues affecting functionality to the service manager.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated professional. You will need to hold a relevant social work degree and have strong people and performance management skills. This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure application to the Disclosure and Barring service and registration as a qualified Social Worker with Social Work England.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
