Team Manager
Role Responsibility
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a management team that is committed to providing high quality Corporate Parenting to children and young people in care.
Your role will be striving for excellence for our children in care, you will have a good understanding of legal work, adoption planning, Pathway Planning and achieving permanence. You will understand the importance of how children in care are safeguarded, which will include understanding standards, different types of accommodation and Purposeful visiting. You will be passionate about ensuring our children have every opportunity to succeed and that they enjoy the magic of childhood.
You will be able to motivate and lead a team from the front, ensure that you deliver high quality supervision and that you implement a practice learning culture based on audit and good communication. You will need to demonstrate that you can work in partnership effectively across a range of services to further outcomes for our children. You will understand the importance of resource management which is best achieved through creative and timely care plans. Most importantly you will be creative, pragmatic and resilient. You will help deliver participation events and understand how crucial the involvement of children in their planning is.
You will be joining a stable and experienced management team and will receive excellent support and development opportunities as well as a good induction.
This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure application to the Disclosure and Barring service and registration as a qualified Social Worker with Social Work England.
This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
