Westbrook is a care centre that provides short term placement, assisting people to regain their independence and meet their aims and objectives.  We offer short term support to those living with dementia and other cognitive issues in our dedicated 15 bedded unit. We also work closely with Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Social Services Registered Practitioners to support those requiring rehabilitation or further care assessments to return to the community.  We are looking for someone to join our team and help us to improve the outcomes for the people we support.

By promoting independence and delivering person centred care, you’ll be making a real difference to people’s everyday lives.

We can offer you a comprehensive induction package.  This will include mandatory training as well as access to multiple personal development courses.  You will already hold an NVQ/Diploma Level 3 or equivalent. We can also offer this programme to the right candidate if not held upon commencing employment. You will have a rolling 4-week rota pattern that includes a mixture of morning and afternoon shifts, enabling a more flexible work-life relationship.

The starting salary for this post is £25,378 based on full time hours of 37 per week.  There is an additional enhancement of 1/3rd for hours worked at the weekend and double time for Bank Holidays. This post will be for 30.875 per week which equates to 123.5 hours per month.

The post is daytime shift working, early shifts are 07.00 – 14.30 and late shifts are 14.00 – 22.00.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
