Team Coordinator

Role Responsibility

Meadowside Short Breaks provides overnight residential opportunities for people with disabilities and/or Autism from the age of 16 years old. 

We are looking for a 30 hours per week Team Coordinator who can be flexible in their approach, is able to work collaboratively and share our commitment to improving outcomes for adults.  You will be required to lead shifts and work as a member of a team providing a nurturing and safe environment which promotes the emotional and physical well-being of the adult accessing overnight residential short breaks.

The job requires the ability to co-ordinate shift plans, ensure accurate record keeping (quality assurance), liaise with other professionals, care planning, and provide supervision and support to staff while monitoring standards of care.  You will need to hold a Level 3 Health and Social Care (or equivalent) and need to have experience of working with young people in a residential setting.  You will have knowledge of safeguarding and adult protection and be able to take personal and professional responsibility for your actions and performance and support staff. In return, you will be provided with a rolling programme of specialist training and be offered regular supervision to enable you to confidently progress in your career.

You would be required to work a set shift pattern, which includes two weekends per month and sleep-in duties.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.

Interviews will be conducted under the ‘Choosing with care’ assessment process.  The interviews will be held over two days and you will need to be available for both days which are Thursday 27th May and Friday 28th May 2021.
