Team Coordinator
Role Responsibility
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Team Co-ordinator (KR8) based within Swalecliffe, a Community Service for adults with learning disabilities, situated in Whitstable .
This is an interesting and exciting opportunity for the right candidate who will play an active role in all aspects of service delivery, assisting in the day-to-day supervision of staff, including the allocation of tasks.
You will need to be person centred, have a good understanding of the needs and of people with learning disabilities and promote their rights and choices. Ensure that the service meets the needs and aspirations of people accessing the service. Ensure individuals are encouraged and supported; promoting social inclusion, including their rights and choices, to enable people with learning disabilities and/or autism to live more independent and fulfilled lives.
The role will be working mainly within Swalecliffe service, and there is an expectation that the role has a visible presence within the service, and the post holder will be expected to support across our other community services where needed.

The successful applicant will have an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social care, or equivalent, and the Level 5 in Leadership and Management (or willingness to work towards) as well as appropriate relevant experience of working with adults with disabilities.
This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
